In this work I use my body as a printing plate. I print directly from skin to paper with charcoal dust. Exploring the shapes I’ve created brings me into close contact with my physical form. Making the work feels like reinventing myself.

This project is inspired by David Hammon’s Body Prints and by the two-hundred year old European Beech tree in my yard, after which the series is named.
